www.omplis.org12 In those days it was very difficult to organise Muslim women into self help groups. Malumbee came forward to become first block level federation president. Later on thousands of Muslim women followed her….. Malum Bee

www.omplis.org13 Tajunisa belongs to a conservative Muslim family. She is the first Muslim member who travelled six states in India as Community Resource Person. Later on 250 members from the same community followed her.

www.omplis.org14 Rathnamma is the first member who sent her 12 years old daughter to the child labour camp against the will of the villagers. Later on 2500 mothers in 25 villages followed her by sending their grownup illiterate girl children to the child labour camp.

15 So many families ruined because of alcohol in Kethavaram village. These leaders mobilised all the other member of SHGs and led a movement against alcohol. Finally all the alcohol shops closed in the village.

www.omplis.org16 Ramasubbamma Ramasubbamma was a nomadic tribal she married at the age of ten and deserted by alcoholic husband at the age of seventeen. After becoming the VO leader she organised 25 young widows and single women like her in the village and fight for sanction of individual houses. She succeeded also.
