PURPOSE: (NOTES: from 9.27.10) To find your eye to hand reaction time To understand the amount and source of inherent error using stopwatches To learn to differentiate between rate and time

Conclusion: Label each Section of the R.U.N ON THE LEFT MARGIN NEXT TO THE PARTS OF THE CONCLUSION. One ¶ ( In complete sentences) for each of the 3 parts of the Purpose when you write the Results See your notes 9.13.10 for direction for the U.N.

Conclusion: To find your eye to hand reaction time(+3) Describe what your reaction times were, how much the distance varied on the ruler, and how the with and without warning times varied. See questions # 4-7

Conclusion: To understand the amount and source of inherent error using stopwatches (+3) Compare yours and your classmates reaction times. Look over question # 4 and #9

Conclusion: To learn to differentiate between rate and time (+3) Review your notes about questions 1-3

Summary of SHM The following list summarizes the properties of simple harmonic oscillators. The oscillator's motion is periodic; that is, it is repetitive at a constant frequency. The restoring force within the oscillating system is proportional to the negative of the oscillator's displacement and acts to restore it to equilibrium.

Summary of SHM Continue list: The velocity of the oscillator is maximum as it passes through equilibrium, and zero as it passes through the extreme positions in its oscillation. The acceleration experienced by the oscillator is proportional to the negative of its displacement from the midpoint of its motion.
