Dating Abuse Dating violence is physical, sexual, emotional, and/or verbal abuse between persons who are now, or have been in the past, in a casual or serious dating relationship

Physical Abuse physical force or violence that results in bodily injury, pain, or impairment. Ex: Grabbing, Punching, Pulling, Poking, Biting, Kicking, Pushing

Physical Abuse Warning Signs –Disregard for your emotions –Alcohol/Drug abuse –Violent Childhood –Cruelty to animals –Dislike or mistrust of women

Emotional Abuse attacks a person's emotional development and sense of self-worth. Emotional abuse includes: –Excessive –aggressive –unreasonable demands that place expectations beyond ones capacity

Sexual Abuse The forcing of unwanted sexual activity by one person on another, as by the use of threats or coercion.

Sexual Assault Sexual relations against a persons will and without consent

Rape any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person Date Rape rape in which the rapist is known to the victim (as when they are on a date together) Statutory Rape sexual intercourse with a person (girl or boy) who has not reached the age of consent (even if both parties participate willingly)

Sexual Harassment Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual's employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.
