2. What are Encounter Assistants?  Blend between custom form and stamps:  Initial interface is similar to a custom form  Once completed the Encounter Assistants it creates a progress note.  Ideal for:  Decision making tree  Template visits (i.e. visits that always contain the same questions)  Replace and enhance stamps  Standardization of data entry

3. What are the new features?  EAs are very good at joining different “modules” of PSS together.  With this tool we can create/generate:  Custom forms,  Bills,  Diagnosis codes  CPP data entry (with proper diagnosis code)  Prescriptions,  Messages,  Pending test  Links to websites, handouts

4. PSS User Group success story!  E-consult process.  Initially developed by Bruyere FHT  Adapted to work for UOHS FHT workflow  Reminder:  Instead of each MD submitting their own E-consult the referral clerk processes everything on each MD behalf  MDs do not need to remember “another” password process  Once the E-consult process is over a survey must be answered.  Bruyere FHT -> Stamp  UOHS FHT -> Encounter Assistant

5. STAMP  To complete a stamp you must use “TAB” and “DELETE” to remove unwanted information.  To properly complete the form you must perform 40 keystrokes (Tab or delete)

6. Encounter Assistant  Significantly reduce the number of clicks to 10.  Provides a more concise and compact note  Select the information you want instead of removing the information you do not need.

Foot exam, eye exam, screening for depression / ED)  Incorporate screening requirements (major contributor to increasing screening rates)  Allows for accurate and speedy reporting.
