IL CTE- Family & Consumer Sciences Lesson B7-6 Résumés are sometimes referred to by two other names. Personal data sheet is a term often used because it is easier to properly write. Curriculum vitae is a Latin term meaning “course of life.”

IL CTE- Family & Consumer Sciences Lesson B7-6 A good resume A good résumé is easy to prepare. The content should be accurate and should positively reflect a person’s qualifications. There are six major items that should be included in a résumé.

It should highlight important qualifications you possess and indicate your interest in the position and direct them to your resume Be concise and direct- the goal of the letter and resume is to be read and get the employer interested in you. It provides an important first impression to the employer
