What types of prepositions do you know? Prepositions of place Ex: He was standing in front of the open door Prepositions of movement and direction Ex: We walked along the river. BUT: THERE IS NO preposition with expressions last, this, next, before, yesterday, today, tonight, tomorrow, every Ex: Last week I met him in Moscow. Last year I moved to Kazan. What are you doing tomorrow evening?

Other prepositions of time At the end Ex: At the end of the film John felt very bored. Until and till Ex: We didn’t have dinner until father arrived.
