We will be starting to investigate careers that you may be interested in. I would like each of you to choose three careers that interest you and research them. The following items must be included in your research. What are the careers you are investigating? What is the average salary for those careers? What type of schooling do you need to enter your careers? Where can you get the schooling for your careers? Beginning now, make a timeline of the actions you must make to enter your careers. Choose one influential person in your career choices that have had success and explain their story. ◦ How did they become successful? ◦ What do they do? ◦ Where did they get started? In order to become a homicide detective, you have to get your GED, earn a college degree in criminal justice or any other related field. You have to attend law enforcement academy and become a police officer, working your way up to being a detective.

To become a chef you have to first receive your high school diploma. Then you may attend any culinary arts school or program you please.
