Registration, certification, or licensure is required in most states. Salary-$22,000-32,000 Work under the veterinarian. Assist with care of the animals. Collect specimens, assist with surgery, perform laboratory tests, take and develop radiographs, administer prescribed treatments, and maintain records. Education- Associate’s Degree for technician and Bachelor’s Degree for Technologist

Work under the supervision of the Veterinarian. Feed, bathe, and groom animals. Exercise animals and prepare them for treatments, assist with examinations, clean and sanitize cages, examination tables, and surgical areas, and maintain records. Education-1-2 years of on the job training or 1-2 years of HSTE program. Salary $16,335-$36,209 Veterinary Assistants (Animal Caretakers)
