2 Occupation Description Dermatologists have a big responsibilities at work. They help people with skin, hair, and nail problems. Some of their responsibilities are to provide consultations, perform dermatological screenings, perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medication, and to provide patient education. Technology is impacted by this occupation because dermatologists use plenty of computers and TV screens. Some things that may be hazardous about this job are Biological Hazards, Chemical Hazards, Physical Hazards, and Workplace Violence Males and females are equally represented in this occupation

4 Qualifications Necessary For Entry And Success Some personal qualities you need to become a dermatologist is being able to work with patients from all ages and backgrounds, and prescribing medicines and ointments.

5 Preparation Needed To become a dermatologist you must complete basic medical training. After high school they must complete at least 2-3 bachelor’s degree, including plenty of science courses. This is the minimum requirement for medical school. Generally those students with the highest marks get the job easily. Although medical school also consider things like character, leadership qualities, and extracurricular qualities. Plenty of schools also require most applicants to take Medical Collage Test (MCAT). The fees cost about $6000- 16000 per year for Canadian residents.

7 Remuneration Being a dermatologist means that this will be your life time job because this a job goes year round. Unless you get too old and retire or quit for personal reasons. Earnings as a dermatologist may vary depending on number of factors, including their experience, education, and location. Most dermatologists are paid on a fee-for- service basis. This means that they are paid by the provincial government for each medical service provided. In general dermatologists can range earn anywhere from less than $100,000 to more than $400,000 a year.

9 Conclusion Some of the advantages to this job are that you get paid a high salary, satisfaction of improving patients health and/or appearance, and generally and subspecialty certification available. I personally think this job requires a lot of determination and effort. Although I may not be perfect for this job I would still be willing to have this occupation because of its high pay in salary and getting to work with others.
