CODE BLUE– Emergency Alert: ARCHITECTURE Doctor Patient/Staff can dial the emergency codes from any intercom in the hospital Switch identifies the code and sends the information to SMS router where the SMS is sent to the mobile number of doctors assigned to the patient. Doctor receives the SMS mentioning the type of emergency and where the emergency has occurred

CODE BLUE - Emergency Alert: Functionality The CODE BLUE-EA allows the patients to send Emergency Alert from their intercom extensions for predefined emergency support team members of different Departments in Hospitals or e.g. Cardiac team, Accidental Emergency, Fire Etc. In case of Emergency a code is dialed from the patients Room. The System identifies the patient room (with the help of CLI captured) & the type of emergency (by identifying the Emergency CODE pressed by the patient) required, The system sends the Emergency Alert to the Team of doctors assigned to the patient mentioning the type of emergency & where the Emergency support is required. Effective communication, which is the key to the success of many modern business enterprises, is achieved only by quick adaptation to the rapid changes in the field. The ‘SMS based Emergency Alert' is one such application, which has managed to adapt to the rapidly changing technologies market and provide an efficient and cost effective tool. It is an effective and efficient interactive tool, which allow the patients to send emergency alerts from their room, by just dialing an emergency number from their intercom.

6 The CODE BLUE-EA allows the patients to send Emergency Alert from the intercom extension in their Room for predefined emergency support team member. Emergency Alerts received by team of doctors in the form of SMS mentioning the type of emergency and where the emergency has occurred. The system provides the user with the option of selecting the Emergency alert to the concerned team. For e.g. Cardiac team, Accidental Emergency, Fire Etc. The system provides the administrator with options wherein he can add new Group names, change the index values, Create Address books The system is developed using Client Server architecture. The Client Server will have the CODE BLUE-EA application running on it. Active! CODE BLUE - Emergency Alert: Features

7 Active! CODE BLUE - Emergency Alert: ADMIN APPLICATION Here user Enter the Room Number. Here users define the Extension Number. Click here and save the Room Number, Extension Number and SMS Text. Select any Room number or Extension Number from Grid and Click on Edit Button, after which user can edit the Room number or Extension number. ROOM No. & Extension No. Mapping.

8 Active! CODE BLUE - Emergency Alert: ADMIN APPLICATION Enter here Code Number User Enter the Code Name Here. Here users define the Text Message. CODE MASTER: For Defining the Codes & The emergency message To be sent to the team of Doctors.

9 Active! CODE BLUE - Emergency Alert: ADMIN APPLICATION Here Define the Extension Here Define the Code for selected Extension. Here Define the Phone Number to Whom user want to sent the SMS to the Particular Code and Extension. Here User Define Availability time for the Selected Destination Number. Extension 0 Indicate For All Extension. User can also enter the Multiple Entries for Single Extension. As well as same Code for Multiple Extension. CODE MAPPING: Codes are mapped with Extension numbers (which Were already mapped with Room No.) These CODES Are mapped with the mobile Numbers of the Doctors. There can be N number of Groups where each group Can have N number of Contacts.

10 Active! CODE BLUE - Emergency Alert: Add on Options available with Active! CODE BLUE: Appointment Management:- The system can be integrated with Hospital Management System for sending reminders (SMS) to patients for the Appointment fixed with Doctors. Promotional Activities:- The Hospitals can use this solution to send SMS to inform the patients regarding any promotional activities conducted by Hospitals ( like Health Camps, Blood Donation Camps etc).
