5. PRISM IS SCHEDULED DURING FLEX: 2:16-2:46 Each program meets once a week. Sixth graders may only choose ONE program. Sixth grade PRISM classes will begin September 30. When Mrs. Rosnick is absent, PRISM is cancelled and students remain in their FLEX periods.

6. PRISM REGISTRATION FEES & FIELD TRIPS PRISM uses proprietary materials; registration fees are required in most programs and are non- refundable. Approx. $30/program Field trips for national competitions are sometimes costly. (Airfare, room & board) NHD competitions occur on Saturdays in the spring and may interfere with Central NJ Youth Orchestra practices. Performance assessments and evaluations are conducted by experts. Parent chaperones are always needed!

8. PRISM IS… PRISM IS … NOT for everyone! NOT Math nor Science oriented Not the only form of enrichment or options: clubs, sports, student gov’t., Science Olympiad Time consuming!  Deadlines can be dangerous to mental health! Sometimes too much to handle.  Maybe 7 th grade is a better plan!
