2 Affordable Housing Accomplishments Rendering of the Springs Serrano Arna Valley New and Preserved Affordable Housing Units  The Springs o 104-unit tax credit project  Arna Valley o 101-unit acquisition  The Serrano o 280-unit acquisition (196 Committed Affordable Units)

3 Columbia Pike – New Tools Adopted Neighborhoods FBC  Base affordable housing requirement, TDR option, reduced parking ratio Transit Oriented Affordable Housing Fund (TOAH)  Helps tax credit applicants pay for infrastructure and fees Columbia Pike TIF  Funding source for TOAH

4 Home Ownership Programs  Moderate Income Purchase Assistance Program (MIPAP)  18 households utilized program Jan 2013 to-date  VHDA Community Homeownership Revitalization Program  22 households utilized program Jan 2013 to-date  Condominium Initiative Workshops  6 events in the past year with 164 total attendees

5 Housing Assistance Programs  Housing Choice Voucher  1,346 households in March 2014  Housing Grants  1,244 households in March 2014 (4% growth March 2013- 14)  Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP)  165 households in FY 2014 YTD  98% of prevention households served maintained stable housing after 6 months

6 Housing Assistance Program  Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)  County is more than half-way to achieving goal of 425 PSH units  The 283 PSH units include: 227 units occupied (including 34 units provided by non-profits) 35 units available 21 units in the pipeline (2014 delivery)  85% of PSH served between 2005-2013 remain housed  Arlington 100 Homes Campaign ▪ 84 individuals have been placed in housing, on target to house 100 people by Oct. 2014 6
