Customer is planning a deployment of ConfigMgr to take advantage of the SP1 enhancements as an enabler for Windows 8 deployments and management of Mac devices. Customer is looking for a way to manage iOS and Android mobile devices along with Windows Phone 8 devices. Customer would like an integrated management solution to reduce cost and drive efficiency. Windows Intune cloud service extends ConfigMgr deployments to manage mobile devices. Customer can create a single pane view of all devices through the ConfigMgr console. If O365 is deployed, Windows Intune leverages existing ADFS to drive greater efficiency for the customer.

Customer is continually deploying and updating software and is challenged to understand current PC landscape. PC landscape assessment is particularly difficult with non-domain joined PCs. Customer currently uses several non-integrated deployment and management tools. Customer needs a way to assess what updates have been applied to all PCs before rolling out O365. Customer needs mechanism to update all PCs to meet Single Sign-On requirements. Customer may need tool to roll out Office bits. Customer wants to target specific updates to specific users. Windows Intune can be used to assess the customer device estate and apply necessary updates and ready PCs for Office 365. Windows Intune is also an efficient way to deploy Office bits. Windows Intune enables a richer SW targeting and distribution management experience after the deployment.

Windows Intune enables IT to extend management to remote windows PCs. The per-user license allows IT to optimize their management investment, covering multiple devices per user.
