2. Understanding Metric Weight Weight is the measurement of the heaviness of an object Metric weight is measured in the unit grams.

5. The Weight of a Gram (g) A gram is equal to about 0.002 pounds. We use gram to measure objects that are very small Example: A paperclip is equal to about 1 gram

6. The Weight of a Milligram (mg) A milligram is the smallest type of gram and it is equal to.001 grams or.000002 pounds We use millimeters rarely and only to measure very, very, very small objects.
