8 Let’s Begin! Log into ecampus platform Navigate to My courses on the top left corner Go to «TestBlendedYourName» course

9 Course Creation Course Assistant / Activity Manager fills out the form on the intranet titled «Ecampus Course Activation» Within the form, please mention if this is a new course or if you would like to copy the structure of an existing course If you want to copy the structure of an existing course, please insert this in the comment (this process is referred to as Backup & Restore) Service Desk (IT department) receives the request and creates the course

10 Check List Post Course Creation Scroll down and on the right hand side you will see “Add a Block” Add the “Manager” Block and “People” Block From the “Manager Block” choose “ITCILO specific course information” and choose the right areas of expertise, languages and save the settings From the “Administration” choose “Edit Settings” 1. Expand the Description section and insert a description in the “Course Summary”. 2. Expand the Course format section and choose “Topics multilanguage” from the Format field. 3. Expand “Appearance” section and set “Force theme” and “Force language” to Do not Force

11 Check List Post Creation For every section that you create: Turn Editing on Go to of the section Unselect the “Use default section name” Insert the section name in the adjoining field

12 Banner Verify that the image exists already on the course calendar. If the image is not there, send an email to mdp2user@itcilo.org In the settings make sure you have inserted the right COORD code You can modify the start date of the course in Settings. The end date is taken from MAP and so is the title

13 Languages Assigning languages to individual activities: Using the icon present in every section From the multilanguages field, choose the relevant language Note: If you choose “select” in the multilanguages field, that section (activity) will be visible in all of the languages that this course will be held in.

14 Languages Creating titles in multiple languages 1.Go to the settings of the block or section 2.Use the code {mlang en} *Insert title in English {mlang} {mlang fr} *Insert title in French*{mlang} {mlang it} *Insert title in Italian {mlang}

15 Changing Colour of Sections Navigate to the “Administration” block on the right hand side and choose “Edit Settings” Scroll down to “Course Format” section The format by default should be chosen as “Topics Multilanguage” Go to “Colour” to change to your preferred colour

16 Changing Colour of Section Changing the colour of a single section: Turn Editing on Navigate to the section (rectangular structures) whose colour you would like to change Click on of the desired section Click in the field space “Section colour” and choose the colour you want.

17 Customizing the Activity and Section Blocks PREPARATIONS: Turn Editing on Go to of the section Unselect the “Use default section name” Insert the section name in the adjoining field

18 Adding Activities Block Turn Editing on Scroll down to “Add a Block” and choose “ITCILO Activities” Scroll down again where you can see your new block created with the title “Select Activities” Choose the settings icon and choose “Configure Select Activities Block” Input the title for your activity and insert relevant modules You can also customize the language settings for your block

19 Adding Section Block Turn Editing on Scroll down to “Add a Block” and choose “ITCILO Sections” Scroll down again where you can see the new block created with the words “Select Session” Choose the settings icon Insert the title for your section and choose in which languages would you like this block to appear You can customize the languages settings of your section

20 Videos Copying & Pasting links from Youtube Upload the video from your computer (but don’t use this option) Upload a file on the FTP server…. (next training session) -

21 Enrolling Users There are 3 methods: Import users through MAP (Let’s have a look at one of your courses) Import users through File Import users manually

22 Enrolling Users Colour Code – Importing through MAP Black -> New user (the system will create the user login) Red -> The username is already present on the ecampus, but the email is different. Probably your participant is new on the platform but he/her has the same name of another. The system will generate the username but it will add a number at the end Sky-blue -> The email is already on the system, in this case the system will ask you to do a double check on the platform to verify if the user is the same Blue -> User already exist on the ecampus. The system will enroll the partecipant Green -> User already exist in your course.

23 Notify the Enrolled Users Make sure you have added the Manager Block on the right hand side Click on Notify to Users Click on template manager and create the template you would like to send out to the participants Choose the participants who will receive the message Click the green button Submit present at the bottom of the screen

24 Viewing as a Participant Steps to view your course as a participant: Scroll down to “Add a Block” and choose “People” The “People” block will appear on the right hand side and click on “Participants” in the block Choose the participant name Scroll down to the block Administration and choose “Log in as” Message displays “Welcome *participant’s name*” and click on continue

25 Groups Create Groups Add Users to Groups Assign groups to desired sections In groups only activities have restricted access
