6. Present.me is a Web 2.0 tool / application program that enables the user to upload printed data along with a digital recording to produce digital output of graphics, sound, and video footage simultaneously; basically a podcast with motion-picture footage that you create!

7. First, the BAD NEWS ! You have to go to the website and create an account which requires an email address, username, and yes…yet another password that you’ll soon forget.

8. More BAD NEWS– NO CONTROLS ! As of this time there is no feature that allows parents or teachers to override or censor inappropriate content. BEWARE! Teachers and Parents Kids

9. Now, for the GOOD NEWS: Creating a ‘Present.me’ presentation is fun and easier than you may think. 1.) You have to open an account, but the web service allows you to choose between a free account or a paid subscription. Prices vary depending on the options you choose. 2.) Go to your browser and upload your presentation that you prepared e.g. a Powerpoint presentation. 3.) Then record your camera footage in synchronization with your Powerpoint. 4.) Remember to SAVE your progress and finished product. 5.) Buy some popcorn and enjoy the show (optional)!

11. ‘Present.me’ can be used by teachers as an alternative to live instruction.

12. Students can use ‘Present.me’ presentations to submit assignments that have visual and oral requirements. It’s also a valuable instrument if students are forced to perform from a distance. E.g. weather, or illness-related absences.

13. Parents and teachers can share messages as well as any downloadable information about a child’s progress, conduct, and status. Teachers can also share homework assignments and instructions with the parents to assist them at home. In some cases, a child’s poor behavior may be recorded and submitted to that parent in order to take corrective actions.

14. ‘Present.me’ can even record out-of-control basketball coaches from Rutgers. The possibilities are endless!
