Moon Menu The different shapes of the moon you see from Earth as the moon revolves around the Earth. One lunar cycle last 29 ¼ days.

Moon Menu The sun lights the side of the moon facing away from Earth. This side of the moon that faces the Earth is dark.

You see more and more of the lighted side of the moon. This is called a waxing crescent. Moon Menu
