3 Introduction The General Census of Population and Housing one of the most important tasks of official statistical agencies in all countries, which provide information about economic and living conditions of the population. The data provided by census on population size, geographical distribution and their demographic, social and economic characteristics are the basic tool for planners and decision makers.

4 Data accessibility One of the main aims of the Central Agency For Public Mobilization And Statistics that all census data, statistics, and publications are easily to access with high efficiency and effectiveness.

5 Data accessibility Therefore, CAPMAS works to meet the demands of data users in making available data in difference forms such as: - CDs - Printouts - Publications as requested by customers - The web site of CAPMAS (www.capmas.gov.eg) In the case of special requests, the customers can contact the Customer Service Centre of CAPMAS.

6 Data Confidentiality CAPMAS do not publish individual data and do not publish any data breach the privacy of facilities. Individual's data do not publish in individual form, but published in tabulations.

7 There are some laws organizing the dissemination of data: The law No. 35 of 1960 on Statistics and Census: Data Confidentiality

8 Act. Three: - Individual data that relate to any Statistics or Census (confidential) not permissible to be viewed by any person or government agency or private or inform of any of them - Not permissible to be used for non statistical purposes or publish it except by written permission from the stakeholders

9 Data Confidentiality Act. Three: - Not permissible to be use any statistical statement as a basis to link the taxes or to create any financial burden or taken as proof in a crime or a basis for any non-legal work.

10 Data Confidentiality Act. Four: The punishment of imprisonment a term not exceeding six months and a fine not exceeding one hundred pounds or one of these two punishments:  Every one breached of the confidentiality of the statistical data or disclosed a statement from the individuals or a secret of industry or trade or other methods of work which may have been briefed on because of his work in statistics or censuses

11 Data Confidentiality Act. Four:  Every one hampered Intentionally an act of the Census or Statistics determined by the technical staff or Caused that  Every one published statistics or census or results of surveys incorrect with his knowledge that its false

12 Copyright Law No. 2915 of 1964 for establishing and organization of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics: Act. Ten: It is not permissible for any ministry or agency or any person in the government or the private sector publish by media or any other method of publishing any Printouts or any results or data or statistical information that are not from the reality of statistics, of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.

13 Copyright Act. Ten: The statistics that are not included in programs of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics is not permissible to be published without the approval of the CAPMAS.
