5. Introduce your reason for writing. Use a friendly tone. Organize your points in logical order. Develop your points with supportive details. Use a friendly letter form. Conclude by inviting your friend to join you and asking for a response.

6.  Is the reason for writing clearly stated at the beginning?  Does the letter include reasons and details in logical order?  Does the conclusion invite a response from the reader?  Has the writer used a variety of sentence types and lengths and correct friendly letter form?
