Not really a command, but Axel’s sarcastic remark. Restate one sentence in the passage as an interrogative sentence. Will it come back and be healthier?

Identify examples of each of the 4 types of sentences. Has the writer included enough variety in sentence types and lengths to make the letter interesting and expressive?

Use a graphic organizer to help you plan your friendly letter. Why we would like to do this

Introduce your reason for writing. Use a friendly tone. Organize your points in logical order. Develop your points with supportive details. Use a friendly letter form. Conclude by inviting your friend to join you and asking for a response.

Is the reason for writing clearly stated at the beginning? Does the letter include reasons and details in logical order? Does the conclusion invite a response from the reader? Has the writer used a variety of sentence types and lengths and correct friendly letter form?
