Slaves, women or workers born outside of Athens were not considered citizens and did not have the right to vote, own property or testify in court.

16. Ancient Greece vs. America
You will be comparing the Democracy of Ancient Greece and the Democracy of modern day America!
You will split your white piece of paper in half! On one half you will draw what a Grecian citizen would have looked like (use your notes!) under your picture you will describe the Grecian Democracy! On the other side of the page you will draw what an American citizen looks like (this is your picture…be creative!) underneath the picture you will describe the American form of Democracy!
