6. Why is urbanization happening in Asia? For thousands of years, Asian people have lived in poverty working small plots of land growing rice, vegetables,or raising chickens and pigs. Often their small plots of land can’t supply enough food for their family, let alone making extra money. (remember there are over a billion people to feed in China & India)

9. Factors that determine why people move and where they go… Push factors make people leave an area. No work, unfertile soil, and war are all reasons why people are pushed out of their homes. Pull factors determine where people will go next. Usually people move to a new area that will benefit them more. (ex. better schools, more jobs, safety, and better housing) Some of you might have been pulled in to Mayfield because of our good school system!
