Emperor Justinian ruled from 527 – 565 A.D. led to the survival and recreation of the Roman Empire and named it the Byzantine The only emperor known to have his close advisor be a woman and wife: Theodora He also developed the Justinian Code (Revised 12 Tables of the Roman Empire)
