Certificate of Academic Achievement It is earned by meeting standard on the Washington State Assessment Tests. English Language Arts: ○ 10 th grade ELA (based on common core) or 11 th grade ELA (smarter balanced) Math: ○ EOC in Algebra 1 or Geometry Science: ○ EOC in Biology or Comprehensive NGSS Test More Information on State Testing

International Baccalaureate (IB) Junior/Senior year Is a rigorous, internationally recognized course of study for academically talented and highly motivated students 3 paths for IB courses: Take the class only: Juniors and seniors sign up for courses they are interested in Certificates: Take the course and register for the IB exam that may earn you possible college credit Full Diploma: includes 6 exams, theory of knowledge course, extended essay and CAS activities Meet with IB coordinator sophomore year. WaNIC (Junior/Senior Year) Washington Network for Innovative Careers It provides hands on Career and Technical Programs that prepare students for post high school jobs. Districts work together in allowing students from various districts to take courses that are offered in the area of their interest. College in the High School Students that take College in the High School courses may receive college and high school credits simultaneously Credits are earned through either Bellevue College Bellevue College or University of WashingtonUniversity of Washington If you take one of these courses the teacher will explain the criteria needed to earn both HS and College credit
