TIPS Before you add pen, decide how you want to design your doodle. You need some dark places, some white, and some gray designs to balance out your doodle.

First Step: Sketch out your Zentangle or pen design with a pencil

1.What shape will your Zentangle be in? 2.The design needs to start in the corner, choose which corner 3. If you are drawing circles use a compass 4. Sketch your design with a pencil 5. Just worry about the outside shape for now

Decide on a color for your monochromatic painting Paint it from light to dark or dark to light adding white or black to each layer

Use your pen to draw in patterns Slowy and neatly

Design must contain a corner Zentangle and monochromatic painting consisting of at least 5 tints and shades of one color. Blend the colors together to create a gradual change. The Zentangle must take up at least half of the paper. This project is due on Friday October 2nd
