Think It!!! When you break the hand you write with, you find it difficult to write anything, it is almost impossible to do this with a cast with a cast! You need to write for school, a job and even for your daily life. In school you need to write to take notes and to take exams.

Explore It! There are some current existing devices, that can help you write something when you can do it with your hands: Voice to text software: An app for the mobile devices that writes what you say, throughout a microphone. Use of a foam ball to adapt a pen to your cast so you can write, the only problem is that it is very uncomfortable.http://upperext.com/2013/09/10/a-nice- trick-to-write-with-an-arm-cast-on/ http://upperext.com/2013/09/10/a-nice- trick-to-write-with-an-arm-cast-on/http://upperext.com/2013/09/10/a-nice- trick-to-write-with-an-arm-cast-on/ The Writing-Bird is a writing device for anyone who has difficulty holding pens. Designed to rest comfortably in either the right or left hand (even in a cast!) http://www.brokenbeauties.com/comfort-mobility/living-writing.php

Sketch It! Instead of holding a pen with 2 or 3 fingers, the idea is that the ink comes directly through a glove, used in your right or left index finger, in order to right directly on the paper.
5
Create It! We created a working prototype by using an used rubber glove and a disposable pen. The ink is inside the glove, (we used the ink and point of a ball pen)
6
Try It! Some of the suggestions we got were: *It was difficult to write with a beautiful handwritting. *It wasn’t very confortable. *It wasn’t flexible.
7
Tweak It! We made the prototype more confortable. It was tried with somebody using a cast. The velcro at the end of the elastic glove allows the user to adjust it to the cast.
