7. The Empty Chair is the story about a man named Rob Jenkins. Working hard, smoking too much and drinking a lot of coffee made him nervous. He then went to see a doctor and the doctor advised him to have a holiday at Cornwall. Next weekend Rod decided to go to Penquay, a small fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall. There were no trains or buses to Penquay, so he had to drive. It was a long journey, and he arrived late on Friday evening so he went straight to bed after the landlady of the guest house, Mrs Doone, answered the door and showed him to his room.
