2. COMENIUS PARTNERSHIPS Introduction “FOOD AND HEALTH” During the second meeting of the COMENIUS PROJECT “Food and Health” at ITI “A. Pacinotti” - Scafati - (SA) Italy, the Italian school partner ITG “L. Vanvitelli”- Cava dei Tirreni - proposed a questionnaire on food habits which all the school partners accepted. The results of this questionnaire are recorded in this work. The questionnaire has been compiled according to the procedure agreed by the school partners as it was written in the final report of the 2 nd meeting.

3. COMENIUS PARTNERSHIPS “FOOD AND HEALTH” The questionnaire, in order to have scientific validity, will be presented with the following procedure:  it will be presented to other two schools of different kinds;  students involved will be from 11 to 18 years old ;  the receivers schools will give 45 questionnaires in all, 15 students, 15 parents, 15 teachers;  the compilers will be chosen at random so that casualness will be assured;  the questionnaire will be anonymous.

4. COMENIUS PARTNERSHIPS “FOOD AND HEALTH” As regards data we have to point out that ITI Pacinotti team collected Turkish and Portuguese data from the questionnaires sent by ordinary mail by the above mentioned schools. As regards Iasi school (Romania), Bucharest school (Romania), and Cava dei Tirreni school ( Italy ), recorded data were sent by email using a chart prepared on a spreadsheet supplied by Pacinotti team. After collecting each school data on the above mentioned chart, graphs relating to the sample of students, parents and teachers have been done. From the study of the graphs everybody can easily draw a conclusion on the food habits of each country and a comparative analysis among the different countries can be done.

5. COMENIUS PARTNERSHIPS “FOOD AND HEALTH” Further graphs have been done from the average among the three samples (students, parents, teachers) for each school partner. There is not enough time to present all the data processed, so each partner will have both a paper copy and a CD copy. In order to honour the host school of the 3 rd meeting of this Comenius project we will start our presentation with the results of the questionnaires given in Portugal, then in Turkey, in Bucharest and in Cava dei Tirreni which are the schools where there will be next meetings. As regards Portugal we want to point out that we have processed also data related to a questionnaire on Portuguese breakfast habits, proposed and given only by Escola Secundària Com 3° Ciclo Do Ensino Bàsico Manuel Cargaleiro.
