Introduction This is the presentation of miscellaneous topics The initial player location KillZ plane Blocking Volume Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill

Player Location A new level will generally locate the initial location of a player After the level is largely constructed, this may not be in a desirable location This is an actor or sorts, like any it can be moved and rotated Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill

Start Position Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill

Moved Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill

Results This leaves the player facing in the opposite direction of the building We use the rotational widget to reorient the player to wake up facing the building The top view works best in this case Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill

KillZ Plane The base of the world is a plane of CSG or meshes If you poke a hole in it you get an bottomless abyss A player can fall into this with no end to the fall The KillZ plane is an infinite plane that should be below this A player hitting the KillZ plane dies and terminates the simulation for them Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill

KillZ Again This plane is a red line in wireframe view Usually seen in Side or Front view If not present it should be added –Our version supplies it If you dig a basement you will need to lower the KillZ plane below this Copyright © 2015 Curt Hill
