Cabinet Priorities from Retreat held June 1-3, 2008

The time away gave President’s Cabinet an opportunity to “think big.” The timing for doing so coincides with the end of our current strategic initiatives, the beginning of new strategic and master planning processes, and the vision of a new President.

These Retreat Priorities also worked into: The President’s goals and objectives, as approved by the Trustees, for 2008-09 (in no particular order).

No. 1: Provide leadership and oversight as the College continues to enter into the realm of a regional community college.

No. 2: Finalize the campus master plan and set forth implementation of the plan (including Foundation support of certain initiatives).

No. 3: Serve as College’s lead spokesperson, using a variety of media and/or platforms to accomplish this role.

No. 4: Strengthen College as a student-centered, teaching institution.

No. 5: Provide a safe environment for students, faculty and staff.
