Reserve Personnel Management Division Coast Guard Personnel Service Center AM I ALLOWED TO DELAY MY OER? 14 WHEN do I submit my OER? Continued… ONLY if there is less than 184 days (IDPL) or 182 days (ADPL Submission schedule) between the last day of your previous OER through the begin day of the OER in question. Detachment or Change of RO OERs can be delayed if, for Biennial (even numbered years ) submission schedule, the time frame between the last day of your previous OER through the begin day of the OER in question, is within 12months; or if, for Annual submission schedule, the time frame is less than 184 days.

Reserve Personnel Management Division Coast Guard Personnel Service Center HOW should I format my OER Bullets? 15 HELPFUL TIPS MEMBER (ROO) Bullets should capture the following: What you did How well you did it Impact The OSF will assist w/ preparing text to roughly fit the OER form A helpful bullet writing book is ‘The Definitive Performance Writing Guide’ by Douglas Drewry Avoid the use of excessive Pronouns COMMAND (Rating Chain) If there is insufficient information to render a judgment in any area of an OER, indicate the following in Block #2 of the OER: ‘IAW PSCINST M1611(series), areas of OER are marked NO due to insufficient information …’ For Medical Absences, indicate the following in Block #2 of the OER: ‘Mbr on authorized absence during reporting period, therefore unable to render a judgment in all/some dimensions’
