What Students Want: Analyzing Student Survey Data From Centennial In order to gain a better understanding of the importance of Student- Teacher Relationships specifically at Centennial, we conducted a student survey analyzing: ● The effect of positive student-teacher relationships on academic achievement ● How students would like their teachers to build relationships with them

13. “Ask if teachers are giving tests on the same day” “ Asking general questions, making individual conversations” “Asking if everyone understands, because sometimes I have a question but I feel like it's stupid so I don't want to ask it especially when it seems that everyone else understands.” “Please help me when I don't understand something rather than calling me out in front of the entire class” Teachers could be friendlier sometimes. “To get personal and recognize the existence of each student in their class. or at least try to” “Not every student is the same. Take into account that we all need different learning styles.
