Targeted investors 21 new investors have shown significant interest in the SEZ and negotiations with many of them are in an advanced stage Total value of targeted investment: R2,5bn (excluding gas to power) Although most investors are local companies looking to expand or start new manufacturing entities, the highest investment value is coming from foreign investors 14

SEZ skills audit to understand industry skills needs and design interventions to close the gaps South African Renewable Energy Incubation to support skills development in renewable energy Opportunity for renewable energy technology training across the different value chains to meet sector needs and demands Strategic collaboration: Various TVET Colleges, SARETEC, Stellenbosch University, South African Manufacturing Technology Demonstration Centre, IkamvaYouth, etc. Skills Development Plan & Skills Transfer Skills Development (for the community) SEZ Internship Program: Recruitment and of local interns and their continuous professional development Collaboration with Master Artisan Academy South Africa on PV installation Programs and activities to expose learners to renewable energy technologies SMME incubation through SAREBI Ad-hoc training interventions such as digital marketing

Proteus Tech. Snr. Sec. SchoolRobinvale High School In October 2015 30 learners from Atlantis School of Skills and Proteus Technical Highschool attended the South African International Renewable Energy Conference (SAIREC) to expose them to career opportunities in renewable energy. In November 2015, 142 learners from the Atlantis area attended WINDaba, an annual exhibition showcasing the wind power generation industry. In May 2016 learners from Atlantis School of Skills and Proteus Technical Highschool attended the African Utility Week (AUWC) held at the Cape Town International Conference Centre Exposure of high school learners to renewable energy Learners at AUW

High School tutoring program in partnership with IkamvaYouth A new IkamvaYouth branch will open in Atlantis in July 2016 with GreenCape’s support and deliver multi-year High School tutoring program in all subjects for Atlantis Grade 10-12s hosted at Proteus Technical High School
