Les Parties du Corps 118-119 In French, parts of the body are usually introduced by the DEFINITE article le, la, or les, and not by a possessive adjective as in English. Note the use of the definite article in the sentences below. J’ai les cheveux bruns. - I have brown hair. (My hair is brown.) Tu as les yeux bleus.- You have blue eyes. (Your eyes are blue.) Lève la main. - Raise your hand. Ferme les yeux. - Close your eyes.
