6. Introduction: a.Provide background information or set up the reader to understand your argument better. a.Establish your thesis: make your position and reasons clear and specific.

7. CITE ALL SOURCES PROPERLY! Body Paragraphs 1 and 2: (8 sentences min.) ● Topic sentence: introduce your argument. ● Provide at least 2 piece of evidence from the sources provided. Remember this is here to SUPPORT your argument, not be the main focus of your paper. ● Establish and discuss your argument further. ● Conclude paragraph with a reference to your thesis and why what you discussed proved your point.

8. 3rd Body Paragraph: ● Start with the counterargument, provide a piece of evidence that someone might use to argue against your side. ● Then go in with a strong piece of evidence to prove that argument wrong and why your position is still the more valid argument.

9. Conclusion: “If you can’t imagine dropping the mic after the final sentence of your essay, your conclusion needs to be stronger!” ● Review your main points. ● Leave the reader thinking! Provide a statement that will make an impact with what you are trying to prove in your argument!
