John Lennon is the most popular singer of “The Beatles”. He was born on 9 th of October 1940 in the Liverpool. There he founded “The Beatles” in 1960. When “The Beatles” collapsed, John began his solo career. The most famous songs of “The Beatles” are Yesterday, Let it Be, Help and A day in the Life. Lennon was awarded “The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.” John Lennon was shot on 8 th of December 1980 in New York.

Most people know about legendary music band The Beatles. But what do you know about lead singer of this band, Paul McCartney? James Paul McCartney was born on the 18 th of June, 1942 in Liverpool, the UK. When Paul was 10 his father presented him a horn and when he was 14 years old he exchanged his horn to acoustic guitar. His friend, George Harrison taught Paul tunes and plays the guitar and then invited him in band Quarrymen. Here he met John Lennon and together they created The Beatles. When The Beatles collapsed, Paul didn’t lose his fame. He started his own music career. On the 11 th of March, 1997, Paul was knighted and in the 2011 he was named the best guitarist of all the times. Most popular Paul’s songs are Across the Universe, Love Me Do, Back in the U.S.S.R. Now Paul is helping poor people and creating his new music album.

GEORGE HARRISON’S LIFE George Harrison was born in 25 February 1943 in Liverpool, England. In his early years Harrison was the youngest of four children in his family. He had one sister, Louise, and two brothers, Harry and Peter. While riding his bicycle, he heard Elvis Presley's “Heartbreak Hotel" playing from a nearby house, and the song piqued his interest in rock and roll. He often sat at the back of the class drawing guitars in his schoolbooks, and later commented, "I was totally into guitars“. His songs are: «Hey Jude», «Here Comes the Sun», «Let it be» and more… He died in 2001.

Ringo Starr is a musician. His real name is Richard Starkey. He was born on the 7 th of July in Liverpool, England. He started playing in 1957. He gained worldwide fame as the drummer for the Beatles. He wrote the Beatles' songs “Don't Pass Me By” and “Octopus‘s Garden”. On February, 8, 2010, he was honoured with the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
