SOP of Setting up Automatic Startup of PecStar November 2013

No need to login windows account and open PecStar manually. In some exceptional cases like server power outage, the PecStar will run automatically after power resumes to avoid data loss. If PecStar key modules are shut down by accident, it will restart immediately. Benefits

DServer.exe – Data processing Front.exe – Real-time communicating PecView.exe – Real-time monitoring and alarm PecDemandForecast.exe – Real-time demand prediction and alarm Programs need to be running all the time

Step 1. Configure Automatic Logon Computer of Administrator User

1)Click Start All Programs Accessories Run 2)The Run window appears, type control userpasswords2 in the Open box and press Enter. Step 1 Configure Automatic Logon Computer of Administrator User

3)In the User Account window, click Add… Step 1 Configure Automatic Logon Computer of Administrator User Ignore 3) – 4) if the user you want to specify that will lbe automatically logged the computer is already existed in the user account for this computer.

4)The Add New User window appears. Type basic information - User Name, Full Name, Description for the new user and click Next. Type and confirm a password for this user and click Next. 6)In the User Accounts window, choose the administrator user account you want to configure as automatically logon then uncheck the setting: Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer click Apply, then type and confirm the password of the user. click OK to finish the settings. 1)Navigate to PecStar installation directory(it is D:\CET\Common\, by default),find sysDaemon.ini and open it. Step 2 Configure CET SysDaemon to Automatic Startup of PecStar

For a standalone server which all modules are installed on the same computer: If the Demand Prediction Module is installed, please replace the sysDaemon.ini file with the following code, and then save it.

5)Double-click CET Sysdaemon service. Step 2 Configure CET SysDaemon to Automatic Startup of PecStar

6)The Properties window appears. change Startup type from Manual to Automatic click Start to start the service click Apply and OK. Step 2 Configure CET SysDaemon to Automatic Startup of PecStar

7)After all the configurations are done, restart the server. 8)The computer will auto-logon the administrator user(ADMIN) and auto-startup PecStar key modules. Step 2 Configure CET SysDaemon to Automatic Startup of PecStar
