COLORADO GEOGRAPHY PROJECT Create a Colorado Geography Brochure Fold a piece of paper accordion style creating six panels The front panel: A colorful title page The other 5 panels: the five themes of geography describing Colorado based on those themes. Be sure to include the information found on the next few slides. Helpful links are found at the end of this PowerPoint Use the internet to find information about each theme in relation to Colorado Once EVERYONE is done with their test I will make an announcement and you may work together but everyone has to create their own brochure. There will be no talking until all the tests are complete Your brochure will be due Tuesday September 8 th but use your time wisely today

Location Colorado's absolute location Colorado’s relative location Map of Colorado's location in the US Map of Colorado including major cities and landmarks Place Describe what makes Colorado’s Place unique List the physical characteristics including bodies of water, climate, animal life, natural landmarks List the human characteristics that are unique to Colorado ex: Royal Gorge Bridge Human/Environment Interaction What has happened recently that involves humans depending, modifying, and adapting to the environment of Colorado. Give an example of each. (think fracking, floods, farmlands)

5. Movement Research the history of Colorado. Why did people come here? Where did they come from? Regions List and describe the regions of Colorado. Where is it in relation to the united states?
