Overall Context of the Americans with Disabilities Act Public transportation has service and compliance requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Public transportation has obligations to make services readily available to all segments of our populations

The ADA and Public Transportation Public transportation has been required to make transportation accessible for many years: Section 16(a) of UMTA in 1970 Federal Highway and Surface Transportation Acts Section 504 ADA
