Cheer Compliance Keva Coleman-Johnson Outline Points of Interest for 2016 1.Southwest Region Contract Application and Background permission Check 2.ID Badges for all Adult Volunteers on Rosters 3.Scholastic Eligibility and Confidentiality Affidavit 4.Background Check Risk Management signed form of approval 5.Coaches Training Certification Certificate and Affidavit (All coaches and assistants REQUIRE ASEP certification) 6.Affidavit/Compliance Form (Concussion) All Coaches must complete, at a minimum, the online CDC Heads Up Online Concussion Training (endorsed by AYF/AYC), the National Alliance for Youth Sports Concussions cource, and the ASEP. A copy of the certificate of completion and successful scoring on all certifications must be kept in the team/squad book. If a coach completes another seminar or course on concussion (ie: NFHS), a certificate of completion and successful scoring on the test must be kept in the team/squad book. 7.CDC Concussion 20 minute Training Video for all Adult Volunteers on Roster 8.NAYS Concussion Course 9. Regional Paper Check Come with all papers pulled in envelope according to the checklist 3-4 volunteers from each conference will be requested to help at book check o Need volunteers who are familiar with the paperwork process/order BOOK CHECK: 1. Conference cheer directors will be required to attend book check. 2. We will conduct book check traditionally like we have - the day before the event (game/comp). 3. There will be two check points: MAIN TABLE- where assigned staff will check for required documents. These people will be required to help the coach from start to finish with the completion of the national envelope. These people WILL NOT sign the national documents. FINAL TABLE: where me, Keva, & BJ (if available) will be signing all national docs & sealing envelopes. 4. Coaches will be appointed a time frame by conference. 5. If the coach in charge of paper check does not keep their allotted time, they will be fined & moved towards the end of the list. Amount of fine TBD. VERIFICATION OF ATHLETE: 1. Will be performed on the day of game/comp. 2. All teams will need to be in full uniform with their certified coaches in order to enter the gate. This is for football & cheer. A. Cheer will be verified & ID right before performance. (Hall way) B. Football will be verified & ID right before game time.
