LIVE New Servers Install SFW M12M11M10M9M8M7M6M5M4M3M2M1 SYSTEM PREP Set up Conversion NOTES on Conversion Most existing setup files will be converted for Lab/Mic – but adjustments to all files will be needed TQC will be converted Patient Reports will be converted; standard SCC SQL/Operational Reports will be converted. SQL and EZ Query Reports that the client has written will NOT be converted. Orders/results are NOT being transferred to the 4.5 system. SCC can add a bridge to the old system for read-only/query purposes from Tools on the main menu. Ideally, the converted database will be ready for you as soon as you finish training. 8. TRAINING: For LAB / MIC Can attend System Design I and II for Lab 4.5 andSystem Design I and II for Mic 4.5 (4 weeks of training) Recommended if you have a team of relatively new resources. Can attend a combined Lab/Mic Upgrade to 4.5 class (3 days Lab, 2 days Mic). Recommended if you have a seasoned LIS team who have supported the current versions. For BB Upgrade training For PATHDx Currently training is done onsite (2 days common files training, 3 days PathDx specific training) At some point in the future, the common files training will be done at SCC, with specific PathDx training done onsite. 9. FILE BUILD: Each file should be reviewed carefully (new specimen model, conversion, etc.) in Lab/Mic 4.5. New fields will need to be populated, if that functionality is to be used. 10. REPORTS: 4.5 must be used with SoftREPORTS SCC will convert Patient Reports to SoftREPORTS. Some patient reports may need new fields added SCC will convert existing SQL and EZQuery reports to SoftReports. ODBC reports will need to be re-written based on new views. 11. INSTRUMENT TESTING Instrument interfaces and automation lines will be NEW interfaces Conversion of translation tables is performed but pipe rules may not convert correctly New specimen model must be accounted for Complete testing and revalidation is required. 13. INTERFACES Two choices: MU2 compliant (HL7 v2.5.1) or legacy (HL7 v 2.4). 14. LIVE ACTIVATION There should be an ADT dump prior to LIVE; alternatively, SCC can copy patients from 4.0.x -> 4.5.x and visits (if makes sense). The other option is that ADT can be resent. At LIVE, ADT will be directed to new environment and will be stopped in the 4.0 environment. At LIVE, ORDERS will be directed to new environment and will be stopped in the 4.0 environment. Patients, orders and old results need to be accessible at Live in 4.5 environment. For Lab/Mic, orders in 4.0 will be Resulted in 4.0. RESULTS and BILLING will be generated out of 4.0. For reference lab interfaces, both 4.0 and 4.5 need to be maintained until 4.0 orders are resulted out. PATHDx – Old SoftPATH cases and new SoftPATHDx cases will be available in PATHDx. (Old SoftPATH cases will be available for read only access)
