3 Why UDL? UDL allow teachers to create a learning environment that is conducive for every learning style incorporating the use of technology.

4 How Does UDL Work? “Multiple means of representation to give learners various ways of acquiring information and knowledge. Multiple means of expression to provide learners alternatives for demonstrating what they know. Multiple means of engagement to tap into learners' interests, challenge them appropriately, and motivate them to learn,” (Edyburn, 2013).

5 Example and Demonstration of UDL Presentations = Students can select options of how to receive information. Expression = Students can chose how to express how their knowledge of the information. Engagement = Options will be provide for the interest of the students.

6 The Interaction and Impact of UDL Students with disabilities are able that hinder learning are able to fully interact in the lesson. ((Principle II. Provide Multiple Means of Action and Expression). Teachers are able to cater to the entire class instead of one group of individuals that require modifications.

7 Station 2: Technology and UDL for All Learners

8 Mission, Belief, and Goals Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program aims to prepare students for employment opportunities, advanced education and productive lives. CTE promotes best practices that enhance teachers' efforts to improve student achievement and encourage responsible career choices. We want to meet students' needs, cultivate their abilities and help them realize their aspirations. Middle school students are offered exploratory courses in business and information technologies, life skills, technology systems and career decisions. Each middle school has a Career Development Coordinator to support the school-to-career connection and facilitate business alliance activities. In high schools, introductory courses are available at grades 9 and 10, with advanced and specialized instruction in 11 and 12. We have agriculture, business and information technology, career development, health occupations, family and consumer sciences, marketing, technology, and trade and industry. Each high school has a Career Development Coordinator to support students and find internships and job-shadowing opportunities. Special Populations Coordinators provide support services for qualifying students. Dual enrollment and advanced placement opportunities are available at local community colleges. 9 Career Clusters Offered The US Department of Education groups all occupations into 16 career clusters: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources: The production, processing, marketing, distribution, financing and development of agricultural commodities and resources. These include food, fiber, wood products, natural resources, horticulture and other plant and animal products/resources. Architecture & Construction: Careers in designing, planning, managing, building and maintaining the built environment. Arts, A/V Technology & Communications: Designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, writing and publishing multimedia content. These include visual and performing arts and design, journalism and entertainment services. Business, Management & Administration: Planning, organizing, directing and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations. Business Management and Administration career opportunities are available in every sector of the economy. Education & Training: Planning, managing and providing education and training services, and related learning support services. Finance: Planning, services for financial and investment planning, banking, insurance and business financial management. Government & Public Administration: Executing governmental functions to include governance, national security, foreign service, planning, revenue and taxation, regulation and management and administration at the local, state and federal levels.

National Consortium on Health Science and Technology Education is a national partnership of individuals and organizations with a vested interest in health science and technology education. Hospitality & Tourism: Management, marketing and operations of restaurants and other foodservices, lodging, attractions, recreation events and travel-related services. Human Services: Preparing individuals for employment in career pathways that relate to families and human needs. Information Technology: Design, development, support and management of hardware, software, multimedia and systems integration services. Building Linkages for Manufacturing Occupations - Building Linkages Among Academic and Skill Standards for Manufacturing Occupations Marketing, Sales & Services: Planning, managing and performing marketing activities to reach organizational objectives.Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics: Planning, managing and providing scientific research and professional and technical services (e.g., physical science, social science, engineering) including laboratory and testing services and research and development services. Transportation Distribution & Logistics: Planning, management, and movement of people, materials and goods by road, pipeline, air, rail and water. Related professional and technical support services such as transportation i(nfrastructure planning and management, logistics services, mobile equipment and facility maintenance. 11 Station 3: 21st-Century Skills Acquisition and Employability One course that integrates technology is Information Technology. Gives an in-depth view of using computers to retrieve, retain, and save information. Incorporates other subjects and technologies
