Reach of WOW In the year 2015-16: Reached 11 Lakh Households for educating citizens 17 lakh man hours invested on the field Collected 20000 MT of recyclables from households valuing Rs 15 Crs Livelihood created for more than 5100 waste handlers

Challenges & Issues Concept of segregation at household Making Households understand why they have to segregate Dry and Wet waste Communication and education to each household and follow-up Identifying team and training them on the concept for better communication Coordination with Municipal Corporations Educating the employees on the concept of source segregation Training waste collectors on efficient collection of dry and wet waste separately Availability of vehicles and waste collectors Daily collection from each household is 50-60% Educating waste collectors on usage of additional income Identifying and training the SHG (Self help groups)/Franchisee for handling Dry waste collection centre Non availability of Dry Waste Collection Centre in each ward No options for recycling of MLL (Multilayer Laminates)
