The Full-Day Kindergarten Program Children attend school every day Two educators (Kindergarten Teacher and Designated Early Childhood Educator) working as a team to support your child’s learning and development. Kindergarten Orientation

What is Play Based Learning? Intentional activities designed to help young learners explore, discover and grow both academically and socially. Kindergarten Day 8:10 early entry 12:05 – 1:05 lunch 2:45 dismissal All students enter and dismiss from the doors by the gymnasium

Preparing for the First Day of School Over the summer: – Walk to school and have a picnic. – Play in the school yard. – Find the outside doors where the kindergarten students will enter – Establish bedtime routines and morning routines. – Make up a fun goodbye routine and practise it in other situations before school starts. – Practise dressing (zippers, buttons) Kindergarten Orientation

Supported Entry First day of school is Tuesday after Labor Day. SK come for the full day JK come for 100 minutes All students come full day for the second day of school.

First Day of School Make the first day fun. Get up in time to get everything done without rushing. Be calm. Talk about the fun things (s)he will be doing. Take your child to the bus stop or to the school. Make sure your child gets to school on time and is picked up on time. The first day of school is a big event in the life of a family, make it a positive one! Kindergarten Orientation
