GREENHOUSE EFFECT  The gases in earth’s atmosphere act like a layer a glass trapping in the energy from the sun  The gases in our atmosphere that trap the energy are called greenhouse gases  The process of greenhouse gases trapping and rereleasing this energy is called the greenhouse effect  Naturally these gases do not exist in high enough amounts to cause issues, but natural and industrial sources increase the amount of these gases
