Whoops—A Little Problem On Feb. 11 th at 05:54 pm I sent a tech report to support@pogoplug.com Subject: Pogoplug Pro shuts off after an interval of non-use. (ticket #25962) OS: Linux Ubuntu 10.04, Browser: Firefox 3.6.13, Pogoplug Pro has only a 32MB USB memory key inserted. After a successful connect when the unit starts up, the Pogoplug Pro light goes dark and won't restart without replugging the unit it again. Is this supposed to be normal? If so, how can I leave it running in the house and connect to it later from outside the house at a customer's site? 11

Their Response Christopher, Feb-11 06:43 pm (PST): Hi David, Thank you for contacting Pogoplug. Your Pogoplug Pro seems to be experiencing a symptom shared by a small group of Pogoplug user's. As luck would have it, Engineering has prepared an update for Pogoplug Pro which is designed to resolve your symptom. Though it is scheduled to be rolled out to all Pogoplug Pro's early next week, I have added your Pro to a special list for immediate upgrade. Please bring your Pro online with no drives attached. Within the hour your Pro should be upgraded to firmware version 2.5.9.5, you can verify this by logging into my.pogoplug.com, click 'Settings' and directly below 'Your Pogoplug enabled devices' look for 'Device 2.5.9.5'. Then attach your usb drive(s). If this update didn't address your symptoms, please reply to this mail. Otherwise, without an update from either of us, this ticket will close in another day or so. Even after it closes, please feel free to contact Pogoplug in the future. 12

Closing Correspondence David, Feb-13 05:57 pm (EST): Hi Christopher, Thanks very much. The firmware fix appears to have worked. My unit now reports 'Device 2.5.9.5' and the Pogoplug Pro appears to be staying on--as needed. Best regards, Dave Christopher, Feb-15 04:20 pm (PST): Hi David Good to hear. This ticket #25962 will close, but feel free to contact Pogoplug again in the future. Enjoy Pogoplug, -Christopher 14
