Began as Women In Construction in Fort Worth, TX In 1953 by 16 women Organized to create a support network Chartered in 1955 & became National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Today there are over 3900 members with more than 134 chapters Since 1996, grown internationally NAWIC Australia NAWIC New Zealand NAWIC South African Women in Construction NAWIC United Kingdom NAWIC Canadian Women in Construction
