4  Began as Women In Construction in Fort Worth, TX  In 1953 by 16 women  Organized to create a support network  Chartered in 1955 & became National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)  Today there are over 3900 members with more than 134 chapters  Since 1996, grown internationally  NAWIC Australia  NAWIC New Zealand  NAWIC South African Women in Construction  NAWIC United Kingdom  NAWIC Canadian Women in Construction
