2 What is a Works Cited Page? Gives credit to all of the sources you cited within your research paper Follows M.L.A. (Modern Language Association) format – the format used to write literary papers

3 What does a Works Cited page look like? Sources are in alphabetical order according to what comes FIRST in the citation Double-spaced Hanging Indent (first line to left margin, second and subsequent lines indented 5 spaces) Rea, John. 4 How Do I Create A Works Cited Page? Alphabetize your Source Cards Open a Word Document on the computer Type the information from the source card onto the Word document

6 Exercise Directions Alphabetize each entry, as if you were creating a complete Works Cited page Clearly, you cannot italicize: for the purposes of this assignment, underline Remember the difference between PRINT and WEB sources!

7 How to do a Hanging Indent Open Microsoft Word Type in your first entry Highlight the entry In the gray toolbar, click on “FORMAT” Scroll down the menu and click on “PARAGRAPH” Once the window opens, look for “SPECIAL” Scroll down and click on “HANGING INDENT” Click “OK”
