HDI Fire Proof Homes Corp We build our children’s future

The Building of the Future HDI can offer the public a new completely fire proof home that will last hundreds of years, cannot rot or mold, costs very little to run and can be built off the grid. This building is not to be confused with present “fire retardant” buildings and does not contain enough combustibles to support a fire. It is built from steel, copper, concrete, stone and other non combustibles. Design and product sourcing has taken many years and has finally come to fruition. Construction materials such as wall board, trim and cupboards have been mimicked with non combustible products. HDI will be producing some of it’s own products, such as metal trim and metal kitchen cupboards that allow for high grade finishes not available on present composite materials.

Our Story In 2002, we lost 300 living units in Calgary to one fire in a multi-family building. The next day I went to the fire to examine why there was so much damage and found that this building was a match book and lent itself to this type of destruction. I felt that with my construction and engineering background, I could design a building that would be much safer to live in and years later the product and technology has finally come to fruition. “We build our children’s future” was chosen as our mission statement as we feel that the purchase of a home is the most important buy that anyone will ever make. It is our hope to provide improvements with our design that will allow home buyers to live more efficiently, safely and affordably. Pride of ownership reduces crime and improves the community attitude as home owners have similar protective interests. Multi unit and multi building fires are common in most cities.

Our Story HDI (Holbrook Developments Inc) was formed to specifically build fire proof multi-family homes. It is composed of two currently operating businesses, licensed in Calgary, which perform “Finishing” on new homes and commercial and residential renovations and new builds. Tim Holbrook (CEO and owner) was born into a construction family, was an executive with some of the large car manufacturers in Mexico, the US and Canada for an engineering career that lasted 25 years and has brought to the table the systems and methods used in large manufacturing operations. The team at HDI are professionals who have led their disciplines and some are published. Andrei Baractari (President and Partner) has managed many construction projects in Europe and Canada and has a strong engineering & construction background. What is NEW in this technology? Mold and insects cannot attack the building due to it’s composition and none of the building products will support an environment conducive to or be considered a food source. The building envelope is “Thermally Broken” from the core structure of the building, raising the insulation rating of the building and ensuring air flow that will protect the life of the building products. Stone on outside floor - inside of home The metal roof is “Solar Flare Resistant”. NASA has predicted that we are overdue for solar flares which will knock out all communication devices within our home if the roof does not provide protection. Our roof is metal, which will reflect the solar rays and allow the electronic components in the home to survive.

Other advantages The building’s communication and electrical wiring can be upgraded without demolition of the walls as wiring raceways are present. Emergency Preparedness- in the case of a community disaster, these buildings can be built in days. They are built as sub assemblies in a factory and then shipped to the site for immediate erection. This building can stand on its own, off the grid, is completely recyclable and reduces it’s carbon footprint noticeably. This would be the first and the last home our children would ever need to buy.

Summary We are requesting an investment of $6.5M to build a factory and $3.5M to build the first 12 unit apartment building. All future factories will be “cookie cutter” replicas for ease of management. Governments will need this new building for senior homes, subsidized housing, native communities and other multi residential applications. All sales will grow exponentially as the new technology is recognized and we build factories in all provinces to meet demand and eventually expand globally. This building is light years ahead of anything built today and is the “Avro Arrow” of the industry. We will never be able to meet the demand for the product.
