Vocabulary stall - pád spin – vývrtka autorotation - autorotace yaw (rate) - "vykopnutí" směrovky (na doraz, určitým směrem) an airfoil - proudnice (trajektorie pohybu vzduchové částice)
3
How do airplanes fly? Using high airspeed and a particular shape of wings, airflow transforms into airfoil, which results in airlift. That's how airplanes fly.
4
How do airplanes stall? A stall is what happens when an airfoil does not make enough lift to keep the aircraft in level flight.
5
Solution The pilot must quickly pull down and increase airspeed. After that, airfoil is making enough lift and the airplane can keep level flight.
6
How do airplanes spin? A spin is an aggravated stall resulting in autorotation about the spin-axis. The aircraft follows a corkscrew downward path.
7
Solution The pilot must stop the rotation by using yaw rate and by pulling down the stick. If the airplane is "clear" (it means it the center of gravity is in a good point), the spin will end in a few seconds and it will itself start leveling the flight.
