Liesl Pfeffer Liesl Pfeffer is an Australian visual artist living in Brooklyn, New York. She works with toy cameras, collage and bright color. However, she is a visual artist primarily working with photo-media, collage, drawing, fiber art and site specific installation. Her art practice is process driven, playful and experimental. Elements of chance and handmade construction are important to her creative approach. “Common themes in my work include the photograph as representation of the real, the original vs the reproducible object, and the value of the material object. My work often questions our perceptions of value by transforming banal elements into visually seductive landscapes or objects.” taken from the Artist Statement on her website- http://www.lieslpfeffer.com/artist-statement/ Fenestraria Aurantiaca From Garden Series 2014 The Mountains Wait From Souvenir series 2009 Peanut Butter and Jelly From the series ‘magic-fun’ 2014
